I think the term country park is stretching it a bit to be honest. Its a. Nice place for a walk close to the sea thought.
Outstanding place to romp. Located alongside the beach and a short walk from the car park, it's a fun place to spend time.
Cross country run. Bracing wind but some really good running.
I love walking the dogs down here(the Appledore end) and much prefer it to westward ho! Jumping across the bits of land is so fun and you can also walk down to the beach.
Head for 'The Burrows'! A beautiful stretch of sandy beach. There's a belt of rough grazing land & sand dunes between the beach & the nearest commercial development. It forms enough of a break between the two, to give the beach a lovely unspoilt feel. Very child friendly, with lifeguards on duty during peak daytime hours.
