If you must shop at ASDA make sure you avoid this one like the plague! Staff are rude and customer service is non existent. We had coffee which the waitress didn't really want to make, I think she prefers you to use the DIY method. Even though the coffee came out off a machine it was disgusting. My daughter took hers back, I left mine. There was no indication where to stand at customer services and I was told in no uncertain terms to go to back of the queue. When I queried the fact that there was no indication where to queue the primitive behind the counter said it had always been like that. So how was I to know?My wife wanted to try on a skirt but was told she couldn't because the changing rooms were closed because of health and safety reasons! It seems the emergency exit is in the changing room. It seems you can buy an item, try it on in the toilets and if it doesn't fit get your money back - nice!UPDATE: They have now updated their facilities with a changing room. Still no indication of where to queue at customer services. It's worth the extra bit drive to go to the new supermarket in Barnstaple.
Very clean , but v surprised that the fruit and veg and fresh meat sections ste tiny
Very good sortiment of food, small department of electrical goods.Corridors and gaps tidy and bright.Pizza counter provides you with very good tasting (!) pizzas for baking at home.Bakery counter, fish counter recommendable.Ethnic food available.Very friendly and helpful staff, notably on cash desk.Customer WC, cash machine, cafe present. Very good sortimented sandwich storage near exit.Petrol station nearby at roundabout.
First time shopping at Asda, massive selection of groceries, also has George clothing, large car park which fills up quickly during peak hours. Overall impressed with store and helpful staff.
Asda have lots of good offers on. At the end of some isles. They also sell clothes, Garden items,Bedding,etc.
